Brief Update (+Linux Fix)
I'll keep this short: last month, life stuff happened, and I did not finish the new demo build. It is almost ready and it will be very worth the wait.
In the new build, I addressed the bug that causes the cursor to disappear on Linux builds, so once this goes public that will be fixed forever. I apologize for how long it took to diagnose. I now have a proper Linux test machine, so ideally, no future builds will have platform-specific bugs that egregious.
Not going to waste more time on words when it's better spent on development - new build soon! Look forward to it!
If you're curious about what caused the cursor bug, it turns out to have been an issue with how Unity handles cursors on Linux. Forcing a software cursor (apparently) causes any and all hardware cursors to become permanently invisible thereafter, even after reverting to the default hardware cursor. Using only hardware cursors on Linux works perfectly and has completely resolved the issue.

Proud of you for keeping with it!!
Thank you so much - I really can't overstate how much it means that some people have continued to follow this project, despite how much it's been pushed back while I navigate how much work it is to ship a game. It is COMING!!!
